I rarely go downtown unless it is for a hockey game or a concert, so I never get to really explore down there. This past weekend, I was able to wander around RiNo and check out some street art, the Colorado Classic Bike Race, and so many booths at the Denver Flea. Tori and I fought through the heat and were able to find some pretty cute things.
I feel like there are different “hot spots” around Denver every year, and RiNo seems to be pretty popular right now (according to everyone on my Instagram feed), so it was fun to check it out. The Denver Flea was right in the middle, so we were able to walk around and check it all out. I intended to get some pictures on our walk back, but we got caught in a rain storm and hid under a tree while waiting for our Uber, so there are only a few below.
Booths and Activities
I fell in love with this booth and all their products. Averie Lane It reminded me of what my booth would look like, if I had one. So CUTE! I definitely left, inspired to hand letter more often!
I also bought the cutest cement plant holder from Seed and Stone. I fell in love with all of their products and wish I had known about them when I was looking for wedding decor! This is what I bought, in purple, to hold a succulent for my work desk.
To try and escape the heat, we grabbed some food and headed for the shade. We both chose some pizza and smoothies from some food trucks and it was a perfect lunch.
There was also a concert that night, (which we weren’t to interested in–Death Cab for Cutie, plus we were there early in the day) and viewing the Colorado Classic bike race. The picture below is a 3D image that is a combination of biking and a play on “RiNo”, which I just realized right now. At the time, I thought it was a weird combination, oops. We watched a few laps of the bike race and the weather started to turn, and we decided to call it a day.
All the booths were cute, and everyone we talked to was so nice. Such creative people! I also snagged the dogs some treats and Bobby some honey sticks and garlic dip.. The guy is all about sauces and dips. They all approved of their goodies. The Denver Flea only happens a few times a year, but I recommend checking it out!
